One thing I learned from the late @liz_daley that I'll never forget: don't neglect your oral hygiene! She taught me this when we were snow camping in Alaska, and it's a lesson I carry with me, even when I'm waking up at 10 pm to start climbing at 11 pm. Liz was from Tacoma, WA, and I couldn't help but feel her presence while I was in Seattle last week. Driving through the city, I would see a familiar street, and have flashbacks of memories with her there. I couldn't help but think she was smiling down on us, blessing us with perfect weather. She was the clear starry sky and bright sun we climbed and skied beneath, and the memory makes me smile and cry at the same time. I'll never forget her and I strive to #livelikeliz eveyday.
