Ski Salt Lake Shootout Day 3–Solitude
Another perfect weather day for shooting ski photography. There was plenty of fresh powder at Solitude today.
Four days of shooting in a row is exhausting! We have been working from sunrise to sunset and hiking through a foot and a half of snow. Don’t get me wrong, I love what we are so privileged to do- skiing is my passion. Working on a photo shoot is an artistic outlet for me and I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the creative process that goes into getting great photography. But I am going to sleep soundly this weekend.
Riding up the Summit Chair.
Suby, one of Solitude’s avy puppies.
Honeycomb Canyon.
Parker Worthen going big for the camera.
Matthew Turley capturing the action.
Clif Shot Energy Gels are key to these long days!
Looking at photos in a real lightbox. This has been my favorite part of this shoot. In this digital era, we get so used to seeing pictures instantly. It’s fun to go back to the old days where you have to wait to see the finished product.
Tomorrow – Alta. Awards Party on Saturday! Wish me luck!
