5 Cool Things from winter Outdoor Retailer Tradeshow, Salt Lake City, UT
I’m like a kid in a candy store at Outdoor Retailer walking through a stadium sized building loaded with all of next year’s outdoor goodies! I love checking out the colors, the fashion, the new designs and I’m always on the look out for cool stuff. Here are some of my top picks from winter 2011:
Foam Plus
Foam plus is a recycled foam made out of leftover scraps. In the past, this waste was either incinerated or sent to a landfill. These guys are reclaiming it, grinding it up and making it into everything from flip flops to flooring. I love seeing sustainable products – for me, that is one of the most important things I look for in a company, especially in the outdoor market.
Injinji Toesocks
I love toesocks! It feels so good to have my toes separated, especially inside ski boots. After a long day on the hill, I like being able to spread apart my toes and do some foot yoga. I love how these feel and look and the new colors and stripes are cute.
Smith Optics Skyline sunglasses
Alexa Miller and me looking fly in the Smith Skyline sunglasses. These shades are fashion forward, light on the face with a super technical lens for driving and shredding! A must have from winter OR.
Delicious! A brand new flavor. What else can I say? Bringing a little taste of the tropics to the snow. Yum.
Nemo tents and pads
Their new sleeping pads are super comfy, super light and extremely packable. They are perfect for camping on land or snow and will help you get a good nights rest now matter where you are. They even have a sleeping pad built for two!
