I #TakeAKnee to support @nfl players who are bringing awareness to policy brutality, racism and power inequality. Those things that we want to ignore and sweep under the rug are actually what we need to be talking about most. It’s never comfortable. But to see injustice and say nothing only perpetuates it further. We can not afford to be silent. To those who say the movement is anti-American, I would argue that non-violence acts of protest are one of the best ways we can celebrate our freedom as Americans. There’s a difference between patriotism and nationalism. We can love our country with a feeling of responsibility for shaping the future of it. #blacklivesmatter
